The picturesque and sought-after village of Mayfield is a lively village with an attractive High Street, offering a good range of local facilities, including a small supermarket, butcher, baker, chemist and post office, Churches of various denominations and period Inns.
Educational facilities in the area cater for both the state and private sectors for all ages with Mayfield Primary School , St Leonards School for Girls in Mayfield, Skippers Hill in Five Ashes, Homewood House at Langton Green, near Tunbridge Wells and Heathfield Community College .
For those who enjoy rural or sporting pursuits, leisure facilities include Mayfield Tennis club, Dewlands Manor Golf Course in Rotherfield, the Beacon Golf Club in Crowborough and the East Sussex National Golf Club which provides a championship course, whilst sailing can be enjoyed at the coast in Eastbourne, and other water sports at nearby Bewl Water Reservoir, as well as many beautiful walks and numerous equestrian pursuits are available nearby.
The nearest mainline railway station is located at Wadhurst, some 5 miles distant, offering services to London (Charing Cross/Waterloo East) in approximately one hour, as well as convenient road access.
Our Mayfield office opened in May 2007 and will serve the immediate and local area, including the scenic neighbouring villages of Five Ashes, Rotherfield, Tidebrook, Mark Cross, Stonegate, Hadlow Down, Burwash, Burwash Common and Burwash Weald, as well as larger towns and villages including Wadhurst, Heathfield, Horam, Old Heathfield, Cade Street , Punnetts Town , Rushlake Green and all areas in between.
